Another Reason to Elect John Kerry

French President Jacques Chirac warned Thursday of a “catastrophe” for global diversity if the United States’ cultural hegemony goes unchallenged. iht.com

Surely reversing US cultural hegemony is reason enough for foreign leaders to want Kerry to win the White House in November and it should be enough for you as well!

[Kerry] insisted he had talked to and met with foreign leaders who were rooting for him. He said during the town hall he talked to "several" in the past week and that all the conversations were not face-to-face.

He said the leaders were "at all different levels" of government and said their support was fueled by dissatisfaction with U.S. unilateralism and "arrogance" in foreign policy. news.myway.com

The French president warned that the world's different cultures could be "choked" by U.S. values.

This, he said, would lead to a "general world subculture" based around the English language. This, he maintained, would be "a real ecological catastrophe." iht.com

Obviously Kerry was right. America is less respected today because of our arrogance. For the sake of global diversity, not to mention the impending, "real ecological catastrophe" brought on by the supremacy of the english language around the world (uh?), America should disarm and take a humbler, more sensitive role in the world by electing John Kerry.

Once dazzled by the intense power of Kerry's diplomacy France will decide that Iraq should not be choked by American values of democracy but instead be "choked" by French values dispensed by French troops.

Citing Hollywood's overwhelming leadership in the movie industry as an example, Chirac asserted that only with government assistance could countries maintain their cultural heritage. iht.com

Now we know the real reason Bush failed Kerry's 'global test'. If only Hollywood wouldn't have pursued its 'imperialist global war' against the world's cultural diversity and its reckless profit-driven goal of cultural hegemony we could have had an un-fraudulent coalition in Iraq.

Elect John Kerry, he supported the war when it was popular and has the sense to oppose it when it's not.

Yes, Kerry's criticism of Bush for not convincing key allies like France to abstain from vetoing the Iraq war is in tatters tonight. Bush did a pretty good job in the debate of discrediting it by pointing out that being popular in Europe is not always the same as being right, but Chirac delivered the knockout blow all the way from from Hanoi.
