It isn't really that amazing... Membership in the Liberal Militia includes an oath to blame America for everything that is evil in the world after all. So this thirty page discourse about how Islamic Fundamentalism is really just a construct of American and European efforts to, "subordinate and control," muslim societies. Typical university mantra.
This essay is an inquiry into the concept “fundamentalism” as employed in the description and explanation of developments in contemporary Muslim societies, particularly Egypt. It contends that rather than referring to an objective set of phenomena, this concept has been created to serve as a key element in European and American hegemonic discourses about these societies in order to subordinate and control them.  ~Juan E. Campo, 1995

Here in this text, The Ends of Islamic Fundamentalism: Hegemonic Discourse and the Islamic Question in Egypt, we have the smoking gun of why Liberalism can no longer be trusted as a force for good in our society. To put it succinctly, the ivory towers of such Liberalism stands against America axiomatically and irrationally.

Shine the light on the dark recesses of liberal thinking and you do not find fairmindedness, justice, or equality, what you have is an ideology that has devolved into a loathing for western society itself. One which frames every question as a moral argument against America and the west, no matter what.

According to the left, the labeling of Muslims as 'fundamentalist' is essentially racial predjudice and represents our efforts to "subordinate and control". Equating terrorism, highjacking, beheading, and the like to barbarity is very insensitive of us...

Oh well.
