The argument that Bush planned the Iraq war before becoming pResident is nothing more than recycled anti-war propaganda. Or else it is quite a coincidence that they made the same argument during the first Gulf war as well.A SECRET blueprint for US global domination reveals that President Bush and his cabinet were planning a premeditated attack on Iraq to secure 'regime change' even before he took power in January 2001.
The blueprint, uncovered by the Sunday Herald, for the creation of a 'global Pax Americana' was drawn up for Dick Cheney (now vice- president), Donald Rumsfeld (defense secretary), Paul Wolfowitz (Rumsfeld's deputy), George W Bush's younger brother Jeb and Lewis Libby (Cheney's chief of staff). The document, entitled Rebuilding America's Defenses: Strategies, Forces And Resources For A New Century, was written in September 2000 by the neo-conservative think-tank Project for the New American Century (PNAC). ~Neil Mackay
This seems to have an uncanny similarity to the following from 1991:
Even before the first day of the Persian Gulf crisis George Bush and the Pentagon wanted to wage war against Iraq.
What was the character of this war? Iraq neither attacked nor threatened the United States. We believe that this was a war to redivide and redistribute the fabulous markets and resources of the Middle East, in other words this was an imperialist war. The Bush administration, on behalf of the giant oil corporations and banks, sought to strengthen its domination of this strategic region. It did this in league with the former colonial powers of the region, namely Britain and France, and in opposition to the Iraqi people's claim on their own land and especially their natural resources. ~deoxy.org
It should come as no surprise that there is nothing new in the accusations of these same leftists, but it's nice to be able to document some of the inane anti-americanism of those like Ramsey Clark and John Conyers.
Ramsey Clark's Commision of Inquiry for the International War Crimes Tribunal bears every resemblance to John Conyers Report entitled, "Constitution in Crises: The Downing Street Minutes and Deception" and serves the same purpose: To impugn the actions of the United States of America.
