Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad emphasizing the need for serving the nation and pursuing revolutionary objectives, said here on Saturday,
"These are prerequisites for campaign against hegemony, that has turned into a global movement today." Speaking to Venezuelan Parliament Speaker, Nicholas Madoro, on the sidelines of The Third International Qods Conference, Ahmadinejad further stressed that it is the joint mission of all independent nations and governments, particularly that of Iran and Venezuela, to fight against foreign hegemony and to observe resistance in facing hegemonic tendencies.
Pointing out the "sweet fruits of living independently" despite all associated debilities and hardships of political independence, President Ahmadinejad added, "The independent countries, relying on their noble nations' will, and their own resources and potentials, can achieve advancement while safeguarding their independence."
He set example of the Islamic Republic of Iran's scientific achievements in its peaceful nuclear program, reiterating, "Any scientific, economic, or political advancement of the world free nations is a severe blow against the global oppressive powers and the neo-colonialists."
Stressing that the global oppression, led by the United States today, gets weaker and weaker every day, the Iranian President reiterated, "The hegemonic powers of the world, particularly the criminal United States, are faced with countless problems and serious challenges today as an aftermath of their interferences in internal affairs of nations around the globe." Ahmadinejad said, "Relying on unity, resistance, and awareness of the free nations, the final defeat of the paper powers of the world would be a near future event."
The Venezuelan Parliament Speaker, too, during the meeting referred to his country's strong and strategic ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran and conveyed the warm greeting of President Hugo Chavez to President Ahmadinejad, Madoro said, "Venezuela and the other Latin American countries are eager to benefit from the Muslim Iranian nation's revolutionary experiences."
Expressing delight over being invited to the International Qods Conference, with the theme "Support for the Palestinian Nation", he proposed that Iran would pave the path for better acquaintance among the revolutionary groups in the Middle East and those in Latin America.
The Venezuelan Parliament Speaker added, "Relying on such acquaintance the real anti-humane face of the US imperialism would be better reveled for the world nations.
