Silence means security

Dissent, we are told, is the highest form of patriotism. Well, to an extent, I agree-- in principle. However, there is a thin line between dissent and undermining. Many on the left have crossed that line. Seriously crossed it. How would FDR's administration deal with the borderline support for terrorist 'freedomfighters' in a time of war?

These are actual World War II posters that illustrate just how far we've come in redefining support for the troops. Can you imagine the kind of furor and claims of 'stifling' which would result if the government were making public service announcements like this?
